The changing eras over two millennia have made this cosmopolitan and culturally vibrant city what it is today, and influenced the people that live in it. The range of fascinating historic sights is as varied as you would imagine. Visit Passau Cathedral with the largest cathedral organ in the world, with 17,774 pipes in 233 registers and four carillon bells, Veste Oberhaus, the former fortress of the Passau prince-bishops, an imposing work of architecture dating back to 1212, a museum displaying the various treasures of the cathedral and diocese, the great tradition of what was once the largest diocese in the Holy Roman Empire and much more. Braunau: The Gothic city on the River Inn is recognisable even from far away, as it is the home of the third highest church tower in Austria. Once you have arrived in Braunau youll be enthralled by its beautiful sights and fascinating history. The city and its surroundings are rich in important works of art by famous sculptors, painters and master builders of various schools and eras. The small cafes in the dreamy lanes of the Old Town are a great place to stop for a while, and in terms of dining you will be well taken care of in Braunau. We are happy to arrange a visit to Doppler, Europes biggest umbrella factory, which is located right in the district of Ranshofen. Schaerding: We can also arrange a trip to the lovely Baroque city of Schaerding. We also recommend a boat trip on the inn on board the reverse engineered salt transporting vessel, HMS Gerda, which we are also happy to organise for groups.

Then drive along the A3 to Passau. Here take the Pocking exit and follow the B3888 to the Bad Griesbach thermal spring. If arriving by air we are happy to help in booking flights. For a supplement of just EUR 30 per person we are also happy to pick guests up each Saturday from Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport at designated times, on prior arrangement. If you are planning to travel here by rail, we can look for the most convenient journey for you, reserve you a seat on the train and send your RIT rail inclusive tours tickets direct to your home. We are happy to pick you up from Passau for the supplementary fee of just EUR 15 per person and journey, at designated times, on prior arrangement. The same service is available for Karpfham, from which all transfers are free of charge.
