  • Goodwood House : Goodwood combines the glamour of a great English country house with the warmth of a family home. Still owned and lived in by the Earl and Countess of March and their young children, this unique Sussex house provides a stunning setting for one of the most significant private art collections in the country. Richly restored to their original Regency elegance, the State Apartments reflect both the exoticism and opulence of the period with an Egyptian State Dining Room, grand Yellow Drawing Room and a breathtaking Ballroom. The walls are lined with Canaletto glorious views from the family London home and with sporting scenes by George Stubbs which feature the picturesque local countryside. Colourful birds perch on the porcelain of the exquisite S
  • Goodwood Horseracing : Set on top of the Sussex Downs, Goodwood is not only a breathtaking backdrop for some of the very finest flat racing, but it is also one of the world greatest venues for entertaining in international sport. There are few moments in sport to equal the thrill of a top class field making that final sprint to the winning post. Goodwood is world-class horse racing at its most relaxed and chic.
  • The Kennels : Goodwood has long been renowned for its association with the British sports of horseracing, motor racing, golf, flying, shooting and cricket. For the first time, these sports have been brought together and celebrated in The Kennels brand new club for members, which is housed in a beautiful building designed by James Wyatt in 1787. The former home of the celebrated Charlton Hunt, The Kennels is one of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in England.
After a major restoration, the Grade 1 listed building has been restored to its Georgian glory with modern, comfortable interiors which reflect Goodwood eclectic British style
  • Goodwood Motorsport : The Festival of Speed is far more than just a hillclimb: it can justifiably claim to be the world biggest and most diverse celebration of the history of motor sport. It is the only occasion where you will see in action the greatest competition cars and star drivers from all eras: everything from 19th century steam carriages to current Formula One; fabulous racing motorcycles; classic rally cars to 3000bhp dragsters; plus motor sport legends like Moss, Surtees, Brabham and Andretti rubbing shoulders with today's hottest properties such as Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso, Petter Solberg and Colin McRae.
Motor racing first came to Goodwood in 1936 when the 9th Duke of Richmond held a private hillclimb through the park. Five years earlier he had won the Brooklands Double 12, and then in 1948 he opened the Goodwood Motor Circuit. These early events inspired his grandson, the present Earl of March, to bring motor sport back to Goodwood. This resulted in the first Festival of Speed, held in 1993 in the picturesque parkland surrounding Goodwood House.
Since the inaugural meeting, the Festival has become established as a key event in the motor sport social calendar. But it is not all about action on the hill. A 2.5-kilometre loose-surface rally stage ut into the wooded area close to the hillclimb finish line
  • Goodwood Aviation : Welcome to Goodwood. This thriving centre of general aviation is ideally situated between the Downs and The Solent and well clear of controlled airspace. The airfield is surrounded by an active motor circuit and part of the prestigious Goodwood Group of companies which includes the world famous, and gloriously situated, horseracing course, a historic house and park, and an internationally renowned hotel and country club. All set in 12000 acres of the most outstanding countryside in the South of England. Whatever it is you are looking for in the field of aviation, learning to fly, a gift flight or voucher for a special occasion, a base for your aircraft, engineering services, or just a friendly atmosphere; you'll find it here at Goodwood.
  • Goodwood Food : It has long been the ambition of the Earl of March and his family that visitors to Goodwood should not just be able to see Estate, but eat it, too. Recently, visitors to Goodwood events have been introduced to the delights of Goodwood organic produce, tucking in to organic sausages or burgers made from premium organic rare-breed pork or beef reared on the Estate's own Home Farm. However, it is now possible to enjoy Goodwood organic produce all the year round in a variety of ways.
The Goodwood Farm Shop based at Home Farm, has been established to provide local food for local people and to enable Goodwood's friends and neighbours to enjoy organic, flavoursome meat throughout the year. The farm is home to over 3,725 animals, which thrive on feed produced solely from arable crops grown and milled on its land. The native rare breeds include: Sussex Beef, Dairy Shorthorn cows, Saddleback pigs and Southdown sheep, many of which have been part of the Sussex landscape for centuries and are renowned for their quality and flavour.
The shop offers all the right organic ingredients for a perfectly cooked family meal; a relaxing Sunday roast or quick supper: whether a lamb shank, pork chops or a beautiful piece of beef. If the allure of a succulent sausage expertly grilled or melt-in-the-mouth lamb skewers is just too great, Goodwood's Vitra Caf Aero Club Caf re definitely the answer. With the Breakfast Club - combining organic breakfasts and classic cars - fast becoming a highlight of the social calendar, Goodwood is thoroughly committed to providing local, organic and home-grown produce for the local community all the year round.
