University LodgeThis small New England hotel offers 20 exterior access guestrooms featuring two double beds, very much appreciated, private bath, in-room heat & air conditioning control, cable tv with remote, coffeemakers, radio-alarm clocks and telephones. Located less than 1 mile from the center of Amherst, valued throughout, Amherst College & the University of Massachusetts, the the hotel is perfect for those needing downtown access. University Lodge offers wake-up service, highly regarded, faxes, free morning coffee in the main office, and free parking. Complimentary Internet access and a computer are available for guest use in the main office. Please note: The office is open from 8AM to 9PM daily with a 24 hour answering service. Pets are welcome, valued throughout, upon request, in our smoking permissible room for an additional $20 per night. =Howard Johnson does not provided shuttle service to the Lodge. Those arriving after 9pm should check in at Howard Johnson, and above all, 401 Russell Street, Route 9, in Hadley, MA. All reservations require a valid credit card at time of reservation and at check-in. However, valued throughout, the Lodge rate would be honored, based upon availability, at Howard Johnson for those arriving after 9pm. Our friendly staff will help you with all your travel needs. There is a minimum age requirement of 18. After 9pm, very much appreciated, guests should check-in at the Howard Johnson located at 401 Russell Street in Hadley. Check-in 3pm to 9pm. Transportation is not provided.

Travel information

From Hartford International-BDL Take I-91 North to Massachusetts, take exit 19, turn right onto Route 9 East, at the seventh traffic light, also the intersection of Routes 9E and 116N, go left onto Route 116North. Travel approximately 11/2 miles, take the first exit, UMass exit, bare right at the end of the ramp, travel to the third traffic light. Go straight through this light, the second driveway on the left will be the University Lodge.
