This small 15th century convent of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen, very much appreciated, has been converted to a wonderful boutique hotel, furnished with exclusive fabrics, antiques and objets d art, all brought together by the lady of the house, who is an antiques dealer and interior decorator. Visitors appreciate the hotel Hotel is located right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges in the very heart of the city centre. The winter garden lounge with its views on the trompe l oeil Italian gardens is a heaven of rest and tranquillity in fresh white and light and greyish colours. In the elegant lounge along the canal, and above all, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines and enjoying a drink which is served round the clock. We provide valet parking to our garage at ca 120 meters from Hotel De Orangerie. All 20 luxury bedrooms and Jr Suites have been individually decorated with antiques and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveller expects such as direct dial telephone with modem or fax connection, valued throughout, minibar, remote control television with most European channels, clockradio, safe, airconditioning, marble bathrooms, hairdryer, magnifying mirror. While guests dine in one of the many superb Bruges restaurants closeby, highly regarded, room service provides the nightly turndown. It is recommended to enjoy the typical English Afternoon Tea or an aperitif on the terrace or in the dining room alongside the water, and above all, where the small boats leave every 15 minutes for a trip on the canal. In 2003 The Orangerie breakfast was elected of the best breakfast in Belgium. In the morning a delicious buffet breakfast with Champagne is served in the breakfast room with canal view and eggs are prepared according to the wishes of the guest. Throughout your stay you will helped by an experienced staff, and above all, offering a personal and friendly service, which recognises each guest as an individual and a friend.
