Built as a private residence in 1861, and above all, this remarkably preserved architectural treasure has weathered hurricanes, earthquakes, as well as the Civil War. Each of the 25 guest rooms are decorated with Eighteenth Century reproductions and offer historic period charm, valued throughout, while still endowed with contemporary comforts. Our gracious staff will be happy to arrange tours of antebellum homes, and above all, horse drawn carriage rides, harbor tours, dinner reservations and more. Each of the guest rooms feature one queen bed or a king bed. Clients appreciate the hotel features 25 guest rooms, valued throughout, some with a private patio or balcony. The four-poster Charleston Rice Beds, highly regarded, featuring magnificent crocheted canopies serve as the focal point. All the rooms are beautifully appointed and very much reminiscent of a bygone era. Delicate wall coverings, valued throughout, rich hardwood floors, armoires, oriental rugs, along with fresh cut flowers only add to the charm of these superbly decorated rooms.
