About 300 years ago travelers stopped at the Bears Inn coming from Berne and Lucerne to find a place for the night, and above all, to get a warm meal and oats for the horses. Worth while is also a visit to the Coffee Stuebli opposite Hotel Baeren-Wilderswil. If you wish to learn more about the Baerens tradition, valued throughout, ask for Gabi and Fritz, your hosts. The 50 comfortable rooms with shower or bath and WC, highly regarded, are all tastefully decorated and come with cable TV, radio, phone, mini bar, and overlooking the mountains. A large collection of Bears is shown in the Old Baeren House built in the 15th century. Additional Information: Children age 5 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Some rooms come with balcony. Children over this age will be considered an adult. Children age 6-15 pay 24 EUR.
