Cabelas Retail Store
Our city offers some of the most exciting and interesting attractions in the world. There is the Worlds Only Com Palace, the Worlds Only Prehistoric Indian Village and Archeodome. We are located in the heart of some of the best pheasant hunting anywhere. Our hotel is located within blocks of the new Cabelas retail store, which is the nations third largest and the only one in South Dakota. Mitchell has so many things for all ages to see and do. Enchanted World Doll Museum
Featuring dolls from the 1400s to Star Wars. Over 4800 antique and modern dolls displayed in 345 diagrams depicting life in the 1800-1900s, fairy tales, nursery rhymes and ethnic dolls representing 127 countries.
Hunting
Thousands of hunters travel to Mitchell every year in search of the wily ringneck. The season begins in mid-October and runs through the middle part of December. The daily limit is 3 ringneck pheasants with possession limit of 15 birds over a five day period.

Prehistoric Indian Village and Archeodome
A full scale lodge, a dog travois and bull boat, give a taste of what it was like on the plains 1000 years ago. Capture a glimpse of this prehistoric culture through daily hands-on activities and guided tours. Visit the Archeodome, one of only three in the world, and discover Native American Culture, art, and traditions through special summer and fall events. Native American artists are featured in our unique gift shop year-round.
