Built next to the once highest railroad station east of the Rockies- at 3500 feet-the Inn has served a century as a retreat and relief from the summer heat found in the Southeast USA. National Geographic Traveler selected this historic - listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an Appalachia treasure being representative of the Southern Appalachian Mountain heritage from the early 1900s.
Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway- it features 50 spacious guest rooms and suites.
The Inn is today as it was then only each room has a private bath. Frequent guests enjoy the uniqueness of this facility. Each room is distinctive in decor size and layout. Relax in secluded comfort and stroll grand hallways filled with the works of local artisans.
