Natural Bridges State Beach
Natural Bridges State Beach is world-renowned for its yearly migration of monarch butterflies. Visitors can see thousands during the butterflies' peak season. The best time to see monarchs in the park is usually from mid-October to late January.
This beach, with its famous natural bridge, is an excellent place to view shore and ocean birds, migrating whales, and seals and otters playing offshore. Further along the beach, tidepools offer a glimpse of life beneath the sea. Low tides reveal sea stars, crabs, sea anemones, and other colorful ocean life.

From San Francisco International Airport : Santa Cruz is 78 minutes south of the San Francisco Airport. From the airport, take highway 101 South to US Highway 85 South. This will take you to Highway 17 South which will take you to Santa Cruz. Take Highway 1 North Exit in Santa Cruz, which will put you on Mission Street. Make a left on to Bay Street and follow this to the end of the street, we are at 175 West Cliff Drive at the end of Bay Street.

From San Jose Airport : Santa Cruz is 45 minutes from the San Jose Airport. From the airport, take Highway 880 south to 17 South. Highway 17 South will take you to Santa Cruz. Take the Half Moon Bay exit (Highway 1 North) which will put you on to Mission Street. Turn left on Bay Street, you will see the hotel at the end of Bay Street on West Cliff Drive.

From the South : From Highway 5, exit on Highway 46 west. Take 466 west to Highway 101 North at Paso Robles. Take 101 North to 183 West in Salinas. Take 183 West to Highway 1 North. Highway 1 North will bring you into Santa Cruz, becoming Mission Street. Follow Mission Street to Bay Street and make a left turn on to Bay Street. Bay Street will end at West Cliff Drive, and you will see the hotel at the intersection.

From Highway 1 South : Highway 1 South will bring you in to Santa Cruz and then becomes Mission Street. Take Mission Street to Bay Street and make a right on to Bay Street. Bay Street ends at West Cliff Drive and the Coast Santa Cruz Hotel is in front of you at this intersection.
