La Caravella Our restaurant "La Caravella", famous since its refurbishment in 1963 and name change from Ciro's bar, it is one of Venice's historic venues. Its elegant ambience, recreating the interior of an ancient sailing ship, has welcomed guests from all over the world for forty years.
The brigade, commanded by owner Alberto Serandrei, offers traditional Venetian and international cuisine from the delicate fennel and lobster risotto, sea bass filets with toasted pine nuts, and grilled leek with basil. The food is accompanied by an interesting wine list and excellent service.
During the summer "La Caravella" serves its guests in the open air, in a typically Venetian plant-filled courtyard adjacent to its winter premises. In the restaurant bar service is also available.
La Rivista Located near the Accademia Gallery, this restaurant has a modern fresh feel to it while keeping some old curiosities from the past. A few steps down from the entrance of La Rivista is a large marble and polychrome composition inspired by a piece of Fortunato Depero, it forms part of the Serandrei family's small art collection.
Using only fresh products and reinterpreting some local recipes in a modern key has earned this restaurant's cuisine renown among both the local and foreign clientele.
