Mackinac Island is served by the Pellston, Michigan Airport located 12 miles south of Mackinaw City. Commercial air service is available daily from Northwest Airlink through Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Air service is also available to Traverse City, Michigan, located approximately one-and-a-half hours southwest of Mackinaw City.

Mackinac Island Airport : The Mackinac Island Airport has a 3,500 foot, lighted, paved runway, capable of handling private and charter aircraft. The airport is located just one mile from Grand Hotel. Horse-drawn taxi service from the airport to Grand Hotel and return is readily available.
