Visitors appreciate the hotel offers a range of Conference and Banqueting facilities that cater for every eventuality. There is a range of 40 individually decorated bedrooms and junior suites in-keeping with the style of the House- many with 4 posters. Originally the site of a famous Gunpowder Works- reputed to have made the finest gunpowder in Europe during Napoleonic Wars. From the intimacy of the Georgian room where up to sixteen can be seated for dinner- to the professionally designed and equipped Pavilion- which can easily accommodate a reception for 320. Set in beautiful tranquil grounds- guests can enjoy walks through woodland trails- absorbing the sights of the surrounding flora and fauna. It has now been skillfully converted into a fascinating Hotel. Wild geese- swans- ducks- kingfishers and herons abound in this relaxed ambience as the Hotels Springer Spaniels welcome many guests. A seven acre specimen fishing lake is available for guests for fishing. From the Entrance Hall- where a log fire welcomes on long winter evenings- to the Bar- Conservatory- Library- Georgian Room- Drawing Room and the large Music Room where civil weddings are held- the ambience is that of a traditional Georgian Country House. The Hotel is tastefully furnished throughout with furniture and paintings in-keeping with the period of the property.

From; London - Take junction 5 off the M25- following the A21 towards Hastings. At St Johns Cross take the A2100 to Battle.
Once in Battle- drive through the High Street- past Battle Abbey which is on the right. Straight across the mini-roundabout- taking the first turning on the right into Powdermill Lane- just before Battle Station. One mile down the lane- the hotel is situated on the right hand side after a sharp bend.
