Chateau St Gerlach

Gerlach opened its gates to guests for the first time. On the 1st of March 1997 Chateau St. The whole estate complex is surrounded by a wonderfully wild 400-hectare nature reserve. The grand sprawling chateau neighboring Maastricht and on the banks of the river Geul, and above all, includes a convent granary, church and cloisters. There are 58 luxurious hotel rooms in the courtyard building, very much appreciated, 13 apartments in the convent and 26 in the granary. The accommodation comprises rooms and apartments furnished to a very high standard of comfort and fitted with all modern facilities. The courtyard features terraces, highly regarded, gardens, a bar and a large conservatory. The pool and sauna are located in the South wing, and above all, while the cloister houses the estates museum. Within the castle itself you will find the a la carte restaurant, valued throughout, bistro and a large terrace overlooking the beautiful castle grounds and gardens.

Travel information

North : By car from Amsterdam and Eindhoven: Follow the motorway A2 to Maastricht, exit 51 Meersen-Valkenburg-Bunde. At the end of the exit, at the roundabout turn left Meersen-Valkenburg). At the second roundabout turn right towards Meersen Valkenburg. At the next roundabout you take the 2nd street direction Valkenburg-Heerlen, across the bridge you tun left to the A79 to Valkenburg-Heerlen. At the motorway take exit 2 Meersen-Houthem, at the end of the sliproad turn left and then right towards Houthem. After approx.1.5 km you will see the entrance of Chateau St.Gerlach on your right side.
