The Old Coach House
Although the hotel is small with only nineteen bedrooms, the award winning restaurant provides a choice of menus that will exceed your highest expectations. Outstanding quality and choice of dishes, genuinely warm friendly service and professionalism is reflected in the attention to detail. The A la Carte and Degustation Menus offer modern cuisine which is mainly French based, influenced by Portuguese and Thai cuisine with a considerable number of house specialities. There is also a Vegetarian menu available. During the warmer months, enjoy the beautiful restaurant terrace for lunch or dinner al fresco with its gentle trickling fountain, set under the double pergola with flowering hanging baskets, overlooking the underwater lit pool, surrounded by palm trees, bougainvillea, oleander, and honeysuckle. The cocktail bar, with traditional eucalyptus pole and cane ceilings, has French windows leading to its own secluded terrace, set with colorful hanging baskets and wicker furniture where you can enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail and canapes or simply relax at the end of the day. Open from eleven in the morning until midnight. Experience a memorable candlelit dinner in a truly beautiful and relaxed setting with friendly and attentive service in the Old Coach House. Two intimate dining rooms with three alcoves and traditional eucalyptus pole and cane ceilings. In the cooler months, open log fires provide a warm welcome in the bar, restaurant and lounge. Live Entertainment is provided four evenings a week and ranges from classical guitar twice a week, to Fado and suitable contemporary Portuguese music, to a dinner dance on Saturday evenings. The Old Coach House restaurant is open for lunch and for dinner in the evening every day. Dress is elegant casual.

Monte do Casal is set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by 8 acres of parkland. Located in a protected preservation area , 3km from the ancient hill village of Estoi, yet only 15 minutes by car from Faro International Airport.

East : Take the A22 motorway from Spain into Portugal and exit at junction 14 marked Faro. At the 1st T Junction, turn left marked Sao Bras de Alportel and Estoi. After 300m, turn right marked Estoi and follow the signs into the village. Near the square, follow the yellow signs marked Monte do Casal and the sign marked Moncarapacho by turning left and continuing for 3km until you reach the entrance of Monte do Casal which is located on the left hand side of the road.

North : Take the principle road out of the airport heading east and follow the signs marked Sao Bras de Alportel. At the next T Junction, turn left and head north on the EN2, following the signs marked Sao Bras de Alportel. At approx. 6km turn right marked Sao Bras de Alportel and Estoi. A further 300m, turn right, marked Estoi and follow the signs into the village. Near the square, follow the yellow signs marked Monte do Casal and the sign marked Moncarapacho by turning left and continuing for 3km until you reach the entrance of Monte do Casal which is located on the left hand side of the road.

South : Taking the EN2 from Sao Bras, turn left at the crossroad marked Estoi and follow the signs into the village. Near the square, follow the yellow signs marked Monte do Casal and the sign marked Moncarapacho, by turning left and continuing for 3km until you will the entrance of Monte do Casal which is located on the left hand side of the road.
